When most people hear the word "rental," their minds jump straight to apartments, office spaces, or commercial leases. These are all agreements that come with lengthy terms, early-termination fees, and enough fine print to fill a binder. It's a natural association, and it leads a lot of people to put off renting a storage unit because they assume they'll be locked in for months or even years. That assumption, however, doesn't reflect how most modern storage facilities actually operate.
